Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Responsible AI Program Manager to join the Coalition for Health AI’s (CHAI) growing team of individuals creating best practices and guardrails around trustworthy AI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing each of CHAI’s current and forthcoming workstreams, ensuring that all activities executed on a timely basis and in alignment with CHAI core principles and frameworks. This role demands exceptional project management skills, a strong understanding of AI principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage AI projects from inception to completion, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with the PMO assigned on the project to align and coordinate various work groups with dynamic stakeholders, including data scientists, engineers, ethicists, clinicians, and lawyers.
• Ensure all AI projects adhere to the company’s ethical guidelines and standards, promoting responsible AI development and deployment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the CHAI executive team, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
• Oversee all logistical aspects of AI projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Organize training sessions and workshops to onboard CHAI members on working groups, educate CHAI membership on existing frameworks, and provide feedback to executive team on broader CHAI membership engagement strategies as it pertains to working group members.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in work group management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in technology or AI-related fields.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of AI principles, including machine learning, data analysis, and model development.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and logistical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
• Familiarity with ethical considerations and standards in AI development.

Certifications: 

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
