CHAI is a pioneering community comprising health systems, public and private organizations, and seasoned data science practitioners Our mission is to establish standardized practices and governance for health AI. We aim to educate end-users about evaluating and adopting AI technologies in healthcare, enhancing patient outcomes and advancing medical innovation.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to join CHAI’s team. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager will design and implement strategies for cross functional efficiency. This role is integral to ensuring operational excellence across all CHAI’s initiatives, including its quality assurance lab network, its applied model cards, and a national model registry for health AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Assist the Head of Operations with management of CHAI daily operations.
• Project Management: Work closely with diverse teams, including data scientists, engineers, ethicists, clinicians, and legal professionals to ensure seamless execution of projects.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement operational improvements, enhancing efficiency and scalability across CHAI’s various initiatives.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, deliverables, and progress. Prepare detailed reports and updates for the Head of Operations and CHAI leadership.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison between workstream teams and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals and deliverables.
• Training & Workshops: Organize and facilitate onboarding sessions, training programs, and workshops to educate CHAI members on AI frameworks.

• Proficiency in operational tools and methodologies (e.g., project management software, workflow tools).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or project management, preferably in technology, healthcare, or AI-related fields.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with diverse stakeholders.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
